During AskGamblers Charity Night in June 2021, with the help of our partners, we raised €65,300. AskGamblers has decided to divert funds to UNICEF’s project Mitigating the Effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Socio-Economic Status of Children and Their Families.
In late 2021, UNICEF mobilised its resources and urged the business community and individuals to help collect funds for the most vulnerable children with families to help them live through winter. AskGamblers has now joined these efforts aimed at making the lives of vulnerable children and their families easier in times of need.
“We are aware that children from the most disadvantaged families are hit the hardest by economic shocks, with the COVID-19 pandemic having exacerbated their financial status further,” said Deyana Kostadinova, Director of UNICEF Serbia.
“Financial support is, therefore, an essential form of support for the most vulnerable families, whose situation becomes even more challenging in winter,” Kostadinova noted.
The support offered by AskGamblers is part of the national solidarity campaign For 1,000 Families on the Margins, spearheaded within the project Mitigating the Effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Socio-Economic Status of Children and Their Families.
“In late 2021, Catena Media set aside the funds to support the families whose harsh living conditions have been exacerbated further by the pandemic and who are struggling to secure food and other essential items for their children,” said Denis Ristić, General Manager at AskGamblers.
“We are aware that no company alone can tackle poverty; however, by joining forces, we can be drivers of change and help the children living in difficult conditions. If more companies would join this call, we could offer support for all 1,000 families, so we are urging our partners and the business community to join UNICEF, which accurately identifies social needs that can be met through unity,” Ristić concluded.
UNICEF will deliver the funds allocated by AskGamblers in cooperation with the Red Cross of Serbia and local centres for social work.
Once again, we would like to thank our partners who helped raise the money at the last year’s Charity Night: King Billy Casino, Chilli Partners, 7Stars Partners, BitStarz Casino, LevelUp, Slot Hunter Casino, and N1 Casino; without them, none of this would be possible.
This year, our traditional Charity Night will be held on 15 June and will hopefully bring together even more partners to support us in our efforts to help those most in need.
