Kyriaki Saranti: Basketball has always been my number one. The energy, the pace, the passion – it’s unbeatable. And as a proud supporter of Panathinaikos, I couldn’t be happier with our EuroLeague win last year! It was such an emotional and proud moment for all of us fans.
AskGamblers: What’s your go-to Greek dish to munch on while cheering for your favourite team or just watching TV? Any secret family recipes?
Kyriaki Saranti: Souvlaki is always a winner for game night – it’s easy, flavorful, and you can eat it with your hands! My family also has a passed-down recipe for homemade tzatziki that’s unbeatable. Garlic lovers, beware!
AskGamblers: If you were a football player, who would you be?
Kyriaki Saranti: I’d go with Dinos Mavropanos. Solid, focused, and dependable – just like I try to be at work! Plus, he’s got that Greek spirit and determination that I really admire.
AskGamblers: Did you ever dabble in any sports as a kid?
Kyriaki Saranti: Oh, definitely! I was always up for something active. I played a bit of volleyball and tried out tennis for a while, too. I wasn’t exactly a future Olympian, but I had a lot of fun and made great memories. And hey, I still get pretty competitive when there’s a friendly game involved!
AskGamblers: If you could invent a new sport, what would it look like? What would you call it?
Kyriaki Saranti: It would probably be a mix of strategy, movement, and technology – maybe something like “TactiBall” where physical skill meets mental challenges, with players making live decisions through VR-enhanced play. Fun, interactive, and definitely a crowd-pleaser!
